Shiela passed away peacefully December 16, 2013. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and LaVerne Chunat. Survived by husband of 43 years, Arnie; children, Tammy Greene and her children, Madeline and Hunter, Carrie, and Shelley (Mark) Goodman; sister, Arlene (Fred) Cossick; brother, Jerry (Sandy) Chunat; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Joseph Beaudet

Age 91, of Manhattan, died December 27, 2013. Joe was born April 28, 1922, in Richmond, Minnesota, the son of Joseph and Libbie Beaudet. He grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota, and graduated from Stillwater High School. Following graduation, he served our country during WW II in the U.S. Army. He also attended colleges in St. Paul (Minnesota), Bozeman (Montana) and Barre (Vermont) where he learned the art of monument design following in his fathers footsteps. Joe was united in marriage to Patricia Miller on October 14, 1950 in St. Croix Beach, Minnesota and they were blessed to celebrate almost 61 years of marriage. He owned and operated the Manhattan Monument Company with compassion and integrity for over 44 years. Many of Joes monuments are unique works of art in response to families wishes to memorialize their loved ones in creative ways.

Joe was a very generous, kind and humble man and always a gentleman. He sacrificed a lot to provide for his six children and beloved wife, Pat. He worked long hours but always found time to help at his childrens school activities, attend his sons baseball games and remodel the family home. His carpentry was outstanding and during the last two years of his life he built a scale model church with incredible details in honor of his wife. The church joyfully filled his remaining days.

Joe had a great sense of humor and his quick wit will be treasured and missed by everyone! He was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church and the VFW.

Survivors include his six children: Maureen Beaudet of Overland Park, KS, Ernie Beaudet and his wife Dee of Topeka, KS, Libbie Richards and her husband Bob of Ballston Spa, NY, Carolyn Binder and her husband Steve of Washington, MO, Patti Brunnert and her husband Chuck of Ft. Worth, TX, and Margie Beaudet of Orlando, FL; two siblings: Bonnie Albertson, Albert Beaudet and his wife Jean; and eight grandchildren: Jennifer and Julie Binder, Joe and his wife Karen Beaudet, Austin, Lexi and Audrey Beaudet, Amanda and Kevin Brunnert.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Pat, his parents and one grandson, Chip Brunnert.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, January 2nd, at Seven Dolors Catholic Church with Father Joseph S. Popelka as Celebrant. Cremation will follow the services with private family burial in Sunrise Cemetery at a later date.

A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesday at Seven Dolors Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the wake until 7:30 PM at the church.

Age 32, of Saint Paul, MN, passed away unexpectedly after a short illness, December 11, 2013. He was born in Saint Paul, MN, February 5, 1981 and grew up in Stillwater, MN. Preceded in death by his stepmother, Deborah. Remembered forever in the hearts of his mother, Zantha; father, David; stepfather, Thomas; Grandma Jean; brother, Yasha and sisters, Eve and Camille; stepbrother and sister, Duncan and Fiona; extended family, friends and Molly Dog. Eli brought a warm smile and good cheer everywhere he went. A service will be held 11:00am, February 1st at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis, MN with a celebration of Elis life the same evening from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at The Grand Banquet Hall, 301 2nd St S, Stillwater, MN. Age 70 of Somerset, Wisconsin died on Thursday January 2, 2014 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was born on August 21, 1943 in New Richmond, Wisconsin to Clifford & Angeline (Campeau) Hall. Clifford was a Navy Veteran and worked for many years as a trucker for both Murphy Motor Freight and ANR. He also worked as a prison guard at the Stillwater Correctional Facility in Bayport. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Beverly (Hopkins) Hall. Survived by his children, Danial (Lois) Hall, Brad Hall, DeAnne (Michael) Ray, Clifford (Charlene) Hall III, Denise (Ken) Metzger, Rebecca Hall; brother, David Hall; sisters, Jean (Wayne) Viebrock, Mary (Dan) Campbell, Julie (Kenny Joe) Potting; grandchildren, Nicole Ray, Erica (Tommy) Smith, Janine Hall, Ashley and Dana VanDerWerff, Clifford IV and Elizabeth Hall, Grace and Henry Metzger; great grandchildren, Kaylee Hall, Deja Ray, Ciera CiCi Smith, Ethan Smith. Therese is a 2002 graduate of Stillwater High School. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, she received a Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. She is currently employed by Flad Architects in Madison, WI. Dan graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and is currently the General Manager of Rustico Pizzeria in Milwaukee. An August 31st wedding is planned in Milwaukee.

Norman Patrick Butler peacefully passed away
on December 20, 2013 after an extended
illness. At his request, no services are planned. His
ashes will be buried at a later date.
Pat was born In Stillwater, MN on March 4, 1939 to Norman and Lenore Butler.He graduated from Stillwater High School in 1957 and
entered the Minnesota National Guard where he served for 9 years. He married Francella Fortier in 1963. They
had three children.
Pat worked his way up in the banking community in Minnesota, Alaska and was President of Trust Corporation in Great Falls, MT. He also worked at First National Bank in Helena before retiring to Florida in 1994. He obtained his real estate license in Florida and officially retired in 2010.
Pat enjoyed traveling and was willing to share his photos of all the adventures he
had been on.
He is survived by his brothers, Dennis and Jon Butler his children, Wolf Butler,
Jeff (Andrea) Butler and Lisa (Rick) Foley. Grand-children,
Kyleen, Tayler, Ethan, Spenser, Sylvie, Henry, Brannen,
Andersen and Parker. Two great-grandchildren McKynleigh and Landen.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother James.

Age 88, of Hudson, WI, formerly of Stillwater, MN, died peacefully on January 9, 2014 at Pine Ridge Gardens in Hudson.

Gene was born on June 11, 1925 to Nels and Sylvia (Beers) Holger in Braham, MN. He grew up on the family farm in Braham. While working for Maple Island Creamery in Stillwater, MN, he was introduced to Margaret Underhill. The two were united in marriage on July 15, 1950. This marriage would be blessed with three children, Gayle, Roger and Jerry. The Holger family settled in Stillwater and Gene took on work at Northwestern Oil Refinery in St. Paul Park (now Marathon Oil). He would work there until the late 1980s when he retired as a supervisor. After retirement, Gene and Margaret remained in Stillwater, close to their friends and family. Margaret passed away in 2006 and in 2010 Gene moved to Pine Ridge Gardens due to health issues.

Gene was known as a “tinkerer”. At the least, a Jack of all Trades. He enjoyed everything from painting, to woodworking, car restoration, small engine repair and golf.

Gene is survived by his children, Gayle (Bill) Parisho of Blackwood, NJ, Roger (Susan) Holger of Stillwater, MN and Jerry (Julie) Holger of Hammond, WI; grandchildren, Matthew (Amber) Holger of Hudson, WI, Jonathan (Nichole) Holger of New Richmond, WI and Eric Holger of Hammond, WI; 6 great-grandchildren, siblings, Norma Moulton of Rush City, MN and Karen (Forrest) Hutchinson of Moreno Valley, CA; as well as other relatives and dear friends.

Gene is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; parents, Nels and Sylvia Holger and sisters, Lois, Leila and Ilo.

Services for Gene will be held privately. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Stillwater, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be donated to Pine Ridge Gardens – Memory Care and Lakeview Hospice in Genes Memory. Joel Massey was uplifted and carried home by angels on Thursday, January 11, while lovingly surrounded by family at CCH in Hudson. Joel Adrian Massey was born January 19, 1952 in Gary IN to William & Elizabeth Massey. He attended Bruce WI High School and graduated from UW Superior with a degree in Business. August of 1970 Joel & Christine Weinert were united in marriage & from that union three beautiful children were born.

He was a successful banker with Wells Fargo and most recently Bremer Banks. He was a board member of several wineries in California. Most importantly Joel was devout Catholic Christian, and proud to be a Knight of Columbus.

He is survived by his children: Paula Humbard of New Ulm, MN, Lee Massey of Somerset, WI, and Thomas (Nicole) Massey of Hudson, WI; grandchildren: Lauren and Brenden Humbard, Sydney & Brandt Massey, and Camryn Massey; mother, Elizabeth Massey; siblings: Sandee (Keith) Simpson, Tim Massey, William Bill (Pam) Massey, Amy (John) Gerber, and Jeff (Vera) Massey; along with many extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, William.

A visitation for Joel will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the OConnell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at St. Patricks Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St., Hudson, with a visitation 1 hour prior to the Mass at church. Interment will follow at St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery in Bayport, MN.

Memorials in his name to the Cancer Society would be a proud tribute to Joel.

Age 22, of Stillwater, died suddenly in his sleep on January 15, 2014.

Dylan was a graduate of New Richmond High School, WI. Following school he worked several jobs specializing in the industrial manufacturing industry. He enjoyed fishing with this dad, snowboarding with friends, and watching the Vikings. He enjoyed driving his Jeep Grand Cherokee and listening to music.

Dylan is survived by his grandparents, Dennis (Marie) Lennartson; father, Scott (Karen Yavis) Stark; mother, Lisa Stambaugh; siblings, Croix, Jaiden, Levi; aunt, Melissa (Troy) Lee; uncle, Brian Flattum; girlfriend, Salena Miller, many friends and family.

Dylan is preceded by his grandmothers, Marie Broska, Colleen Flattum; uncle, Troy Flattum; step-father, Scott Garavala.

Of Stillwater, MN. Went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2014, surrounded by his family. Bob was born October 7, 1933 in St. Paul, MN. Graduated from Harding High School. Joined the Navy, where he met the love of his life, Millie, in Fallon, Nevada in 1954. They married in 1955 in St. Paul, MN, moved to San Francisco in 1959 and returned to White Bear Lake, MN in 1974 to be closer to family, eventually settling in Stillwater. Bob and Millie came to know the Lord in 1967. Together, with friends, they founded the Stillwater Evangelical Free Church. Throughout the years Bob was an inspiration to many and lived a life full of faith, love of family, grace and generosity. He was also Stillwaters best blind golfer. Preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Millie; brother, Gene, and sister, Joyce Autrey. Survived by son, Michael (Leslie) and their children, Jesse and Sara; son, Joseph (Micki); and son, James and his children, Nicole and Robert. Memorial Service Thursday, 11:00 A.M. at STILLWATER EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, 7671 Manning Avenue North, Stillwater. Burial Rutherford Cemetery.
